Hello, I am curious to know what the budget for this project was. I am currently in Central Massachusetts and I am trying to figure out how much this type of rennovation would cost on an existing Cape style home. Thank you, Julie J.
I find it troubling that you chose not to show the house straight-on from the sidewalk or street. If I understand the story, the addition (with those bizarre small windows that perforate the wall) actually faces the neighbor's house. So does the addition jut out from the side, making the cube of the Cape Cod have an ungainly arm extending outward? How about a picture that shows how the addition actually extends from the house? I assume it would show that this addition is less attractive, and less successful than the interior shots suggest.
Thanks for your comment, Carol. The home was featured on the cover of the issue in which it appeared. The addition extends toward the rear and is visible from the driveway, but not from the street. Here's the image I'm referring to: http://www.dwell.com/magazine/the-new-american-home.html
