Very much like what you've done! We're about to buy and revnovate a smaller house and I've saved pictures of your place for ideas. Could you give me an idea of your budget for the renovation? Thanks!
Very nice! I am curious as to budget too. I wish that information was available in many of Dwell's features especially with projects that are modest in scale. Thanks. Kelsey
My dog and I walk past there nearly every day. It's beautiful. And it's true, it very much fits in with the scale of houses nearby, unlike the infamous three-story monstrosity half a block away. Great job, y'all.
I love the walls and the fact that some of the furniture seems to be built-in. The landscaping off the back of the home is visually very interesting. I like the layered affect. It has a traditional and yet modern feeling. I like the belnd of the two sensibilities. It lends the home a timeless quality.
I also live in Austin in a 1000 sq ft bungalow. Love my house, but when we have some money squirreled away, I also want to do an addition. I probably wouldn't add more than 400 sq feet, because we have a huge backyard and don't want to lose much of it to an addition. we also don't want to go "vertical". I will have to check out Rick Black when the time comes :)
