Very nice drawing with well defined individual artistic style. Light and expressive. Suitable for the product.
Beautiful illustration, I love the style and the colours! The image really captures the atmosphere of these European cities. Great job, best of luck!
Since the comments seem to go to the entire slide show, I would like to specify that my comment was directed to Palina Klimava's work. I absolutely love it and would definitely buy it for my iPhone.
Great job Richie! it looks like they messed up your resolution though? so blurry??
Wow Polina you have really outdone yourself this time! This is amazing- a very neat design!!
i like Herlihy's design and Lee's design the best
Thanks for the heads up, Yunhe. We fixed it. Sorry, Richie!
Mario's work is great. You have my vote dude!
good work mario! voting now.
Palina Klimava's work is very outstanding by it's graphic qualities. Very original, very pure, very atmospheric. Love it!
I love the illustration by Palina Klimava and her use of lines to capture one of my favourite parts of Europe, the architecture! I also love the subdued colours used to layer the cities. I want one!
hey where can I buy a couple of cases.... Eurofashionista is totally my style. Go Mario!
The depth of color and line strokes is really intriguing and cool. Really awesome Job Palina. I always liked your graphic design work! =>
My vote is for Palina Klimava. Very beautiful style! Simple and elegant!
mario valverde's is my favorite. Very beautiful design!
I vote for Palina Klimava's piece!! So fun, sophisticated and eye catching! I would want a case like this!
I love the design by Herlihy - graphics engage, and are striking - perfectly complementary! Kudos
Voting for Palina Klimava. Amazing work miss. I really like the simplicity of it all, even though when you look closer, theres a lot more to see.
is this running for voting or is just a jury contest?
I want this!
I vote for Palina Klimava, very simple yet stylish design. Good job !
Palina, this is great. You have my vote. I like how your pic is simple, but not "dry" or harsh. Just enough detail to distinguish between the different cities! And enough detail to go back and look at the pic some more! Simply beautiful.
Nice design Mario, i love it!
Wow! very nice design Mario, Congrats
I love the design elements, colors, and lovely balance to Ann Herilhy's poster.
Wow. What a great contest. I love the color and unity of design in the one by Herlihy and I like the graphic quality of the one by Valverde.
Thanks for all the comments, everyone. We meant it when we said this was going to be a tough one to decide. Even though this contest is being judged by a jury of dwell and coolcapitals folks, we absolutely welcome your opinions about who you think should win!
i like Giuseppe, Diana and Anna's designs the best.
mario's eurofashinista transports me to amsterdam in a glimps oh boy i missed the netherlands so bad , this is an eye catchy winner design
Mario's Eurofashionista spokes about the concept of the city... Few people can achieve this with a line... :) I really enjoy it!
Excellent work of Mario Valverde...
Enjoy Fun ! This one is the life of the party ! I want that design even if it doesn't make number one according to the judges !
Anne Herlihy's design really grabbed me. Brilliant, evocative and beautiful. Loved the color choice and the sleek graphics. I'd love to buy it!
love the colors and concept in Anne Herlihy's cover. how cool is that vienna part??
Herlihy’s concept is awe inspiring and the best entry by far. Her use of bold color and forms grabs my attention and keeps it . Don’t you just love it!
Thank you all for your support, I really appreciate it!
Love the 3D sense of Anne Herlihy's work. Very engaging.
Very good mario valverde alfaro, you are the man
I'd buy Herlihy's cover, very evocative of the places, and I'm a Klimt fan. Really nice, high-end job.
I love Mario´s design. It transports us to each city with just one look, the design incorporates a set of perspectives very well used. Definitely the best ...
Your drawing is beautiful!!!! I like it a lot. Nice done Marito!!!!
Thanks for all the comments guys! :)
I am impressed by Mario's work, although it is a bit dry and reminds me of an illustration from an architectural graphics textbook. And, by the way, my first comment relates to Palina's design.
Marios Valverde design is just marvelous!!!! I love it! Its by far my favorite. Dude, you are so talented!!!
I vote for Anne Herlihy's cover. The design flows and is cohesive. It catches you attention and makes you want to look at the details.
Thank you for the comments! Also, thanks to Dwell and the judges, once again! I was basically racing against the clock (I didn't notice that this contest was held again until the weekend before the deadline) and my "traveling luggage" sticker concept didn't exist until the final day. It seemed like last year, this contest was very well advertised on many design blogs/sites. However, this year, I only stumbled onto it by visiting the actual Dwell page. (and not a moment too soon) This week, I was pleasantly surprised to see my design in the slideshow. I love the variety of solutions that we each brought to the challenge. Great work, everyone!
i vote for dianes cover! the ilustrations very professioanal and clean looking and it catched my eye.
My vote goes for mario valverde he catches the most iconic elements for each city in such a skilled/coolcapitals way.
Palina Klimava's design has my vote - very interesting idea with the layering of the different cities!
mario valverde catch my vote by the level of attention he paid for each capital, such a cool result.
Dear lord! people, tell your friends/family to stop voting, this is just a slideshow!
one of my favorites should be the eurofashionista by Mario, haven't seen in a while a design propolsal like that. Kudos!
Way to go! I'm really impressed by Mario's piece.
Excellent work, very nice and inspirational, the perfect invitation to your eyes "let's travel and discover these capitals"
Wow Palina! I really the simplicity and layering of your piece. It's a subtle design and has a great European feel. I think this would make a terrific cell phone skin!
Hey!!! I love it, it's a very simple design and complex to do at the same time... the places are exactly the ones I love... This has to be the winner!!
I love Anne Helihy's use of color and design. A true twenty-first century representation of European sensibility. Her design is both classic and modern. The cover she had designed incorporates a rich steam ship trunk history of European flavor while maintaining unknown sense of the future pulled together in the present.
Anne Helihy has presented the superior design.
Herlihy's design is modern and clean; at the same time, it is evocative of the collection of stickers of exciting places one would accumulate on one's luggage in the old days when travel was an adventure. Brava!
All great looking designs -- however, as the best blend of Creativity and Sale-a-bility -- Mark Hosek creates the perfect Tapestry of all elements here. If judged by Steve Jobs, -- Mark wins hands down, period end of story.
Thanks for all the great comments. Congratulations to the winner! The winning design was not one of the finalist's so we didn't get to see it before this- it's a nice design. Have a great trip! Fun contest. Thanks again!
What do you mean "was not one of the finalists"? He's the 7th image in the slideshow. He was a finalist, and he also won this contest last year!
