I love these - the walkways are geat! I love how they wrap around the rocks and trees.
$1,000 to build (typo?)
looks closer to at least $10,000, possibly 100k
no not a typo hes my prof in university and he had a limit budget to work with
Really curious about insect control. Are any buildings screened, or is it totally wide open. Also would love to have more details on the solar system, and how they pump water. Is it by hand? Can one 12 volt car battery run a cd player for 6 hours, or a laptop for any length of time? Is there any heating system, fireplace, stove? How does the structure hold up over the winter, snow damage? Did they retrofit the stove for propane or was it built that way? Have similar issues with a place o French River Ont. Thanks,
Wow nice ... All that for $2200 . Go herb herby go.

Serene and beautiful. What more could you ask for?
We're just abotu to embark on a similar venture & would love to find more photos & information about this place ~ can anyone point us in the right direction? LS in the UK
I think the build cost is a fairy tale matching the 'bears gnawing down the trees' story. It's all a little too beautiful. Hipster modernists colonizing more and more remote places. Not so remote that you can't have friends sharing wine and 5-course meals'. This should have been built in Mississauga. I'd like to see some real imaginative re-use of materials or found materials go into such a beautiful natural space—not just another wealthy white wanderer putting his/her stamp on the landscape.
