As the weather dips into chillier temperatures, keep the fire at home roaring with a few logs always at the ready. Metal worker Marc Maioriana crafted this wood rack from 80-90% recycled steel content in his Virginia workshop, where he also hosts an apprenticeship for local high school students.

Love everything about it but the price...
Elegant in its simplicity and functionality. In my opinion the price is outrageous however. My hat is off to the apprenticeship program.
nice......but price seems way too high. where is the promise of cheap, modern design??? haven't seen much of it so far.
Let's not be fooled by the massive difference between mass produced modern design and hand crafted modern design. Have you ever tried bending a piece of metal this large and with this much grace? If you want cheap modern design, Ikea is open until 10pm.
