The Upcycle Ottoman is upholstered with repurposed bags that were previously used to transport organic coffee beans. The bags feature screen-printed stencils and logos which identified the original goods, making each ottoman completely unique.

The upcycling cause is undermined when items made of upcycled products end up costing $425. Such mark-ups make upcycled products something only more affluent people can afford. Shouldn't upcycling try to include everyone, if is to be widely accepted and thus beneficial to our environment?
@Concho - Good point, though upcycling IS available to everyone that's interested in design/DIY. If you want someone else to upcycle for you, there will naturally be a price, same as any other design objects. Cheers to Gus* for creating a beautiful product using this approach. If you can afford it, great, and if you can't or don't want to purchase, the design can inspire your own upcycling project!
