the legs look ridiculously out of proportion and like not thought was given to their design. Take them away and it's just a hunk o' wood...whoopie. Sorry to be negative but there's no design here
Good thing Paul and Dan didn't include themselves in the photo. I can hear Shane now " the hair is ridiculously out of proportion with the nose." Sorry Shane, but your criticism sounds like the bleating of a frustrated design school dilettante. Looks like a beautiful hunk o' wood to me.
I like the lightness of the legs - the beautiful piece of wood appears to be floating - perfect for a Sushi dinner for 2 - Shane appears to have a big "chip" on his shoulder. Ingrid
I am a gallery owner in San Diego and I own several pieces of Paul's furniture. All are beautiful. One of his benches graces the entrance to the gallery and I receive numerous comments on it. People repeatedly ask if it is for sale, but I won't give it up. Good to see his work continuing to get out there. Keep up the good work.
I love the balance of the simple legs with the organic complexity of the wood. The design showcases the beauty of the wood perfectly, without overworking the connections.
This table is beautiful, letting the inherent richness, texture and shape of the wood read with simple subtle connections makes for a great contrast and is well executed. The photo on paul's blogspot frames of the entire piece, very nice!
