Teapots and Tea Kettles
When I started entertaining at my upstate house I was stunned that many people don't drink coffee. Life without coffee? Never! But with more and more houseguests requesting tea, I decided to go a mission to find not only the perfect tea kettle, but also the perfect teapot. Here are some of those that I love the most.

As a big tea drinker, I love a good tea pot. My favorite is the Jacobsen's Cylinda by Paul Smith !! Thanks!!
I just purchased the Staub square teapot in graphite grey. So beautiful, love it!
I'm looking for a well-made and beautiful electric tea kettle. I had a Bosch Porsche kettle that died, and cannot find anything like it.
Lauren, In Australia and New Zealand every kitchen has an electric 'jug' which I think is what you call a 'kettle'. It boils the water then you pour into teapot, coffee mug, whatever. If you google 'electric jugs australia' you'll get a huge range of styles, stainless steel, glass etc. Long established brands include Sunbeam, Breville. Happy hunting ... Robyn. PS - A tip for cleaning accumulated stain inside stainless steel jug is: bring 1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup water to the boil and leave in jug overnite.
You've shown a bunch of tea kettles and one (seemingly) tea pot, which actually looks in shape and function more like a coffee or chocolate pot, not a tea pot. No one who drinks good tea is going to brew their tea in the kettle. And there are lots of great tea pots, glass and ceramic, that make the process of tea drinking into an art. If you want a great cup of tea, invest in a handmade, ceramic tea pot. You'll taste the difference.
Robyn, thanks for your advice. As I live in the US, Australian appliances cannot be used here without an adapter/transformer. Much to my surprise, coming as I do from a country with a tea-drinking culture, there is not a great selection of attractive and well-made electric kettles (or 'jugs') available in the US.
I own the Luca Trazzi, CURLS tea kettle for Francis Francis. A great design and works well. Form equals function at 100%
Staub Tea Pot in eggplant or aubergine purple is what I own and love.
I loved my Alessi "Graves" teapot. First think it did was to burn out the whistle (rappid boil ) and then could not clean the pot proper. I use a "Reverware" kettle now for over 25 years. Ikea's is to "cheap" even though my old kettle can be had at hlve the price.
I did a similiar ongoing search and testing of teakettles. I finally settled on one very similiar to the Kanagi kettle. I love the simple lines but also the function. I can get my hand inside when I clean it. My hand does not need a potholder to use it unlike alot of my former trys.
