The sky is thick and heavy and a very grey San Francisco is soaking wet and standing tall between home and the office. While it's much, much nicer to be curled up and cozy indoors, the sun's in our heart and we love these rainy days and the look of the dripping city; this clear bubble makes it easy to navigate the umbrella-dotted streets while laughing at clouds, so dark up above.

- Less likely to poke someone in the eye with this umbrella, and being able to see where you're going makes a lot of sense. How does it handle big wind?

- I just bought 5 of these, 70's bubble umbrellas, at an estate sale. This is the best umbrella. They won't turn inside out in the wind and your entire head is out of the wind and rain. $22.00 is a good price too.

- I had totally forgotten about these. When I was a little girl (1970s), I wanted one of these sooooo badly. But my mom would simply not buy me one. She thought they were tacky and frivolous. At the ripe old age of 42, I'm going to make two purchases today. One Bubble Umbrella for me and one for dear old Mom.
