One of the best things about a striking vase is that it doesn't really need any fresh cut flowers to brighten up a room. Designer Agnes Fries was inspired by the look of fishing floats to create the Bottino collection, a small series of handpainted porceain pieces—there are two additional designs in the line—for venerable Danish ceramic brand Kähler. They are available for purchase from Gretel Home, which has a wonderful selection of decorative and functional home accessories.
