Dutch design company Blofield—not to be confused with the evil genius Bond villain of nearly identical name—has taken the traditional English Chesterfield and pumped it full of hot air. This new design completely strips away the insides and replaces the classic leather with PVC and vinyl. This chair comes in one, two, or three seater options and three clean colors to choose from: Stone White, Earth Green, and Midnight Green.

This represents what the new definition of "disposable" furniture! Bravo!
What? Why are we acknowledging a brand new disposable and fossil fuel based product design? Am I missing something? Oh and by the way that Bond villain you refer to is Blofeld, not Blofield. DD.
379 Euros for an inflatable chair? Yeah, that seems like a good buy.
I believe I can leave out the sarchasm and just simply say that I tend to agree with what some others are saying. This is not to say that this is not a unique chair, it most certainly is, and I was captivated by it's appearance at first as many consumers would be. However as an avid reader of DWELL, why are we seeing such a chair being represented. Perhaps I do not have all the information regarding this example, but it certainly smacks of environmental carelessness to say the least. If it was a biodegradeable material that could inflated, well that's dandy, but I don't believe it is. And the price? Well, I guess the chair isn't the only thing that is inflated. Not a great choice for the website, but still love the magazine!! Keep up the good work!
