Vitra Table Solvay

Created during World War II, Prouvé engineered the beautiful and practical Table Solvay, for the chemistry company for which it was named: Solvay. This table was designed with the goal of optimal stability. The wooden legs of the table are securely fastened to the center of the table top, and extend out at an angle to the table edges for complete balance. For further support, the table legs are attached to each other by a tubular steel strut. Table Solvay's strong and sturdy design complemented by the solid oiled wood used to make it, create a striking piece sure to become the focal point of any dining room.
