For the first time since launching online in November 2013, the Dwell Store had a physical presence at Dwell on Design Los Angeles from June 20–22, 2014. The curated collection of products included Dwell Store exclusives and best sellers, among them minimalist furniture, statement pendant lights, and elegant accessories. The Perimeter Tray from Ladies & Gentlemen Studio is a simple piece with a complex mix of materials— the tray combines a walnut surface with a Carrara marble insert, brass handles, and a powder-coated aluminum perimeter. The marble insert can serve as a plate or cheeseboard, and can be repositioned within the tray to be used as a decorative divider. The interior of the bowl features a lichen-colored, food-safe interior. When flipped over, the base of the bowl can be used to display charcuterie, cheeses, and other hors d’oeuvres.

Sculptural mouth blown glass pendant light with black and clear glass and LED lamp
The Parison Pendant is a hand-blown glass pendant that mixes black and clear glass to create an ombre effect. Designed by Nat Cheshire, the top of the pendant is an opaque black that moves in a fluid gradient to ultimately become transparent. The neck of the pendant holds an LED lamp that diffuses soft, warm light. Nearly two feet in diameter, this overhead fixture creates a sculptural statement.

A best seller at the DOD pop-up, Blockitecture is a small set of nesting blocks that is hand-painted to recall the look of urban structures.
