Founded in 1997 by industrial designer Ron Rezek, Modern Fan Company designs and manufactures ceiling fans for modern interiors. Fans are available with or without lights, and are ideal for high ceilinged rooms or covered porches. From simple to sculptural, these five fans from the Dwell Store will suit your modern home.

Wooden beehive inspired ceiling fan

A statement-maker, the Stella Ceiling Fan has a sculptural aesthetic that will communicate well in a spacious interior. The large, open beehive-shaped structure encircles the cylindrical glass shade and motor housing, creating an organic, modern look. The plywood fan is available in mahogany or maple.

Ceiling fan designed for low ceilings with brushed nickel finish

For small, low-ceiling rooms, try the Velo Hugger Ceiling Fan. At just 14 inches in length, the Velo will circulate airflow without disrupting compact spaces. The Velo is available with or without an overhead light, in sleek brushed nickel or a decidedly modern gloss white.

Refined pendulum style ceiling fan with four blades

The four-blade Ball Ceiling Fan will enhance airflow in an interior, and features an ultra-quiet motor. The fan is constructed from die-cast aluminum with plywood laminate blades, and meets the EPA’s Energy Star Guidelines for air movement efficiency. Available in brushed aluminum and gloss white.

Elegant three-blade drop pendulum ceiling fan

The Altus Ceiling Fan meets at the intersection of drama and minimalism. Including both 5-inch and 17-inch downrods, the Altus can be used in a high ceiling room, as well as lower profile settings. The Altus is available with or without a light, and in brushed aluminum or glossy white.

Slim bullet-shaped ceiling fan

The versatile DC Slim Ceiling Fan can be used in high- and low-ceiling rooms, due to its included hugger adapter. The bullet-shaped body sets the fan apart from more traditional style, and the angled blades create increased airflow without overusing energy. The included high-efficiency light provides ambient overhead lighting. Available in brushed aluminum and gloss white.
