Design Within Reach Bow-Tie Kilim Rug

Our Bow-Tie Kilim Rug (2013) captivates with its simple yet bold pattern. Handwoven by a skilled artisan on a traditional punja kilim loom using tie-dyed wool yarns, this reversible rug was inspired by the Banjara, a nomadic people from the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its rich color mimics that previously seen in cultures that widely cultivated the indigo plant as a source of dark blue dye for textiles. Rug pad recommended. Made in India.
