Resident is a lighting and furniture company based in New Zealand that designs and manufactures innovative furnishings for the modern home. Many of Resident’s lamps are defined by their geometric shapes and stunning angles—they're fixtures that are bold enough to stand out, while also subtle enough to blend into existing interiors. These five lamps, new to the Dwell Store, provide graphic geometric interest to a modern space.
The Cross Pendant is comprised of two intersecting aluminum channels that diffuse warm lighting through recessed LEDs. Powder-coated in a matte black or white, the pendant can be used over a dining room table or as overhead lighting in a living room or bedroom.
Inspired by classic sailing ships, the cantilevered Spar Floor Light is defined by its angles. The triangle shapes created by the cord are reminiscent of sails, and the circular base is seamlessly echoed in the lamp’s shade.
Although it’s designed in a simple polygon shape, the Hex 750 Brass Pendant is anything but plain. Crafted from brass electroplated aluminum that is hand-brushed, the hexagonal pendant light provides refined drama in an interior. The Hex is also available in a matte black or white option.
The Oud Table Lamp is structured in a sharply angled, continuous line that conceals the mechanisms for the LED strip, making it appear as if the light is coming from the metal itself. The dimensional lamp is controlled by the marble sphere at its base, which operates the internal switch with a quarter turn.
Named for the triangular shape formed by its hanging wires, the Tri Pendant is comprised of three intersecting aluminum channels that hold an LED strip. The light reflects off the panels, further adding to the warmth of the diffused white light.
