Trove’s founders, Jee Levin and Randall Buck, made over 100 light “paintings” by exposing photographic paper to flashlights and fiber-optic toys. Then, they distilled their favorite elements across all of the paintings and created two patterns: Heze and Nimbus.
Nimbus is meant to evoke the sky before a thunder storm: a mixing of dark and light with wide, hazy clouds.
Nimbus is available in five color ways and measures 67 inches across. It is an oversize wall covering that measures 12 feet high and 67 inches across.
Heze connects circles with blurred strokes of color that is supposed to display the “mathematical impossibility of the circle.”
