Pierre Guariche

Pierre Guariche (French, 1926-1995) got his start apprenticing for Rene Gabriel at the school of the decorative arts in Paris. In the late 1950s he headed the creative design behind Meurop in Belgium.

Guariche Formica / Wood Desk

Guariche designed this piece, made of palissander, white formica and steel, in 1962. It features a formica-lined open front area, with two drawers on the reverse side, and a simple steel x-shaped base.
