Kaj Franck

Kaj Franck was a Finnish designer of glass and tableware. Though he also worked as an educator, his 1953 Kilta line of tableware for Arabia became a massive international hit. In the first 20 years of its existence Arabia produced some 25 million pieces, securing Franck’s place in the design pantheon. His other big hit came in 1958 with the line of glasses Kartio for Iittala.
