Based on the mise en place method of cooking used in restaurants, the prep bowls allow the user to gather all their ingredients pror to cooking, making it easier to add them as needed to the recipe. The bowls are also conviently doubl-sided, with the deep side for larger quantities of ingredients, and the shallower side for herbs or spices. All six bowls can fit into the included flip tray and are stackable.
