Since April 2001, Moooi has inspired and seduced the world with sparkling and innovative designs within the interior industry. The founders Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers decided to change the already existing brand Wanders Wonders into Moooi, (meaning beautiful in their native language, Dutch) with one extra ‘o’ because it is extra beautiful. The reinforcing strengths of both men are still sublime; Marcel, the obstinate designer with a keen eye for business and Casper, the marketeer with a keen eye for design.  

Besides the designs of Marcel Wanders, Moooi also has other designs from both national and internationally recognised designers, such as Jurgen Bey, Bertjan Pot, Jasper Morrisson, Ross Lovegrove, Studio Job and many more. The interior designs are selected by Marcel Wanders himself. The reasons for this diverge considerably . Sometimes an item has super-functionality, sometimes a design is brilliantly creative and sometimes dazzling. But occasionally, what we all like the most is when all this can be found at the same time. Moooi wants to preserve the balance in its collection between unique objects, icons and functional products for every day use... the silent friends.

Brave New World Lamp

Don't let the tiny image fool you, this Brave New World is way bigger than you might think. The oak frame stands almost six feet high and over two feet wide, and the structure is as intricate as it is imposing: each individual piece of wood is notched together to create the complex shape, which is modeled after bamboo scaffolding in the Far East. Switch it on and sit back with a good book (we suggest a Huxley classic).

Carbon Chair

The genesis for the Carbon chair was the Carbon Copy, a prototype carbon-fiber replica of Charles and Ray Eames’s iconic Wire chair. This chair is completely hand coiled and is 100 percent carbon fiber and epoxy.

Container Table

Created in 2002 by Marcel Wanders for Moooi, the Container Table features a flat panel top and a sturdy base manufactured under high pressure at high temperatures, which means the table fares just as well out of doors as it does in. The base can be filled with water to add a weightier anchor.

Non-Random Light

While Moooi's Random light resembled a Jackson Pollack painting in orb form, the Non-Random—also by Dutch designer Bertjan Pot—looks a bit more like a finely wound skein of wool. The epoxy resin-soaked fiberglass pendant comes in both black and white.

Raimond Suspension Lamp

Designed by a mathematics professor, the Raimond Suspension lamp by Moooi is a sphere created from a series of triangular shapes. The intricate frames are joined at LED terminals. The electrical current is transported through the stainless spring steel frame.
