Monogram Modern Home - Los Angeles
The Monogram Modern Home continued its modern design road trip down the west coast to Los Angeles, setting up shop at Dwell on Design on June 23rd, 24th and 25th.
The Home
This 600 square foot prefab home built by Washington's Method Homes welcomed thousands of visitors at America’s largest design show.
The Appliances
Design visionaries had the opportunity to interact with Monogram’s new line of 2016 luxury appliances.
The Experience
The home, set among hundreds of the world’s most modern design brands, welcomed thousands of professionals and consumers alike to celebrate innovation, design, and modern living.
Through live product demonstrations and culinary tastings, Chef Jon showed how Monogram appliances transform any home into a luxury dining experience.
Each morning of the show, Chef Jon prepared delicious breakfast burritos, inspired by Southern California’s influence of Mexican-American culture and lifestyle.
Continuing Design Education
The patio outside the home played host to a series of continuing education courses for industry professionals, taught by Sheri Gold. She shared her knowledge on topics like, universal design, and modern cooking technologies.
Our panelists Gretchen Hansen of Decorist, Jaime Derringer of Design-Milk, Lou Lenzi of Monogram, and Lisa Blecker of Resource Furniture joined Dwell CEO Michela O’Connor Abrams for a stimulating panel about the relationship between the modern consumer and innovation, technology and design.
Decorist provided soft furnishings for the home, including paintings by San Diego artist Jaime Derringer, giving the home a true Southern California modern beach vibe.
The Monogram Modern Home provided a great, hands-on way for DOD attendees to experience modern design on the show floor.
Thank you, Los Angeles, for welcoming the Monogram Modern Home. Next stop, Houston!
