September 2007: Dwell on Design

If you have trouble reading this email, go to www.dwell.com/mailings/1271816.html

This month we introduce a new addition to the Dwell Blog by offering a weekly dose of design tidbits in one blog. The Design Digest Diet is a well-balanced weekly roundup of our favorite web morsels, with some sweet bytes to help the news go down. It's our kind of diet.

September also brings the Dwell on Design conference and exhibition. This year's moderator, John Hockenberry, will lead a panel to discuss building community in the modern world.

And although the votes are still being tallied, the winners of The Infinity Design Challenge: San Francisco and our open-call Blu Dot Lounge Chair Competition will be announced at Dwell on Design.

Drop us a line, and you too might be featured in the Dwell blog! Shoot an email to tips@dwell.com.

Press Play
This month, we continue our Design Leaders video series, featuring key innovators in the fields of architecture and design. Take a look at our latest interview with Kathryn McCamant, as she talks about a lesson learned from the Danes: Bringing houses together brings people together.

Minneapolis, Minnesota
Amidst the monster house rally of big building in Minneapolis, City Desk Studio expands the Dean home while keeping peace and pace with the neighborhood.

San Juan, Puerto Rico
In San Juan, Puerto Rico, Casa Delpin conjures the spirit of Ponce de León and Le Corbusier in a modernist reincarnation of local traditions.

The Condo Generation
With the spate of multi-unit buildings on the market, and even more on the boards, Los Angeles is finally growing up.

Dwell on Design—San Francisco
