Philippe Starck saw the new MyWorld sofa system in his dreams. The acclaimed designer doesn’t use computers, watch movies or television, nor find himself with much time to occupy his own couch. In fact, he and his wife pass most days on planes shuttling between work obligations or attending to their oyster farm in the south of France. Yet the impresario managed to conjure a transformable sofa for the modern family. As ICFF festivities drew to a close, Italian furniture manufacturer Cassina invited Dwell to meet the Starck and his new MyWorld system in person.
