Reports to: Online Managing Editor

Dwell is a modern architecture and design brand based in San Francisco. Our online department is looking for an enthusiastic candidate who can contribute to online initiatives two or three days per week. This person will be exposed to all aspects of the online department at Dwell. We are looking for a student (in any major) who will receive credit for their work. The position reports to the online managing editor.

Must have excellent communication skills, and a genuine interest in learning about online publishing. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Photoshop, have an eye for design, and be interested in learning how to use our content management system (CMS). A passion for sustainability, architecture and design, and proofreading experience are pluses.

Commitment:
4 months, 2-3 days a week

Job responsibilities:
• Resize images from the magazine and web for online publication
• Fact check blogs
• Post blogs and products of the day via CMS
• Communicate with featured websites
• Post ads via the ad server
• Track breaking design and architecture stories for possible coverage
• Assist with other online initiatives
• Potential opportunity to contribute to editorial content if the candidate is the right fit

Compensation:
Small monthly transportation stipend.
