Dwell’s first web video series, Building Green In Harlem, features one couple’s journey through the trials and tribulations of renovating a brownstone into a modern, sustainable home.
When we first met David and Alysia, they were scouring the Manhattan real estate market for a place to call home. By the end of episode ten, we’ll be invited to glimpse the house warming party that concludes their renovation. In between, they candidly discuss the entire process from filing the permits, hiring a green builder, dealing with budget constraints, selecting earth-friendly appliances and furnishings, and finally, moving in.
We’ll also hear from the design/build team at GreenStreet about the challenges and triumphs of eco-conscious renovating.
