Author and architect A.X. Ahmad called out a few of his favorite houses from past issues, and we've gathered a few images here for easy perusal.

Having a home office in an apartment of this size might seem impossible, but flexible furniture transforms one room into two.

Today, the New York Times ran a story on summer reading that recommended glossy magazines like Dwell (though we mostly print on matte paper!). Author and architect A.X. Ahmad called out a few of his favorite houses from past issues, and we've gathered a few images here for easy perusal.

Ahmad's first mention is the Finger-Kennedy residence in which, "a young couple with two kids transformed their miniscule apartment with hidden storage units," he says. The compact 700-square-foot New York City abode (shown here) was designed by noRoof Architects. Photo by: Raimund Koch.
