Floating Shelves
I didn't want to invest in a painting or some expensive wall art before I had a more permanent dwelling. Instead, I painted a rectangle of grey on the wall and installed some floating shelves for an "architectural feature" that would hold some of my favorite things. Paint was cheap, and though I first saw the shelves at Bo Concept for about $140 apiece, I was delighted to find perfect substitutes at Ikea for $20!

although this is a nice design and all i find it a bit upsetting to see how animals get treated better than humans

Where did you get the dog bed? I have a brindled greyhound that is always on my couch! By the way, is that what your dog is? Thanks...

They look like IKEA's "Lack" shelves. They're well designed and strong. Highly recommended for that Modern look...(http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40103633?ddkey=ProductDisplay)

My Russian Wolfhound would love the dog bed - and of course it would fit in perfectly with our furniture. Where can I purchase one?

Love the softness and the simplicity. The dog bed is a great idea and fits in well.
