Pierce Street Renovation
The renovation of this 1906 stucco-clad Victorian involved updating the building’s traditional feel, while infusing modern elements to make it more livable. The architects also made numerous eco-friendly choices, including creating a garden accessible from the main living spaces; providing a solar powered radiant heat system and a large photo-voltaic roof; using recycled materials for insulation, flooring, cabinets and countertops; and incorporating tall bamboo and external sunshades for passive cooling.
