Located in the heart of Royal Palm Yacht and country club in Boca Raton, Florida, this sprawling 7,200 square foot home complete with a …..foot long resort style pool and guest house is a show stopping residence designed by Laure Nell Interiors, led by Laetitia Laurent.

The owners lived in the primary home for 15 years before purchasing the adjacent lot with the intention of building their own resort grounds. Laetitia helped design the pool, complete with a sunken living room and firepit, sunbathing shelves and water fountains, promising to make even the best hospitality destinations jealous of these amenities.

The owners hired Laure Nell Interiors to bring their ambitious vision to life, and to bridge the new modern guest house with the existing classic home. Laetitia’s goal was to ensure the two structures appeared as one cohesive unit, as if built simultaneously. Laetitia opted for a West Indies aesthetic, ideally suited to blend old and new worlds. Through an extensive renovation, Laurent brought to life elements of the main house that carried inherent coastal elements with colonial character. Laurent added caning details to the back of the built ins and the ceiling, hung gilded tropical light fixtures in the living room and paid homage to the owner’s traveled past by displaying collected heirlooms inside custom shadow box coffee tables.

Laurent also played up the whimsical feel of the dining room by designing the space around the botanical Degournay wallpaper, adding custom dining chairs with a trellis back and a dark wood dining table to conjure up the liveliest of dinner parties. For the husband’s office Laurent opted for a masculine lodge vibe, mixing the owner’s collection of gifted tribal masks with carved wood shelves and a leather channeled sofa inviting you to unwind after a long day. Laurent carried that thematic through the guest room with a colonial poster bed, shell mirrors and Audubon prints.

The kitchen and adjacent family and breakfast rooms were intentionally kept bright and airy as an inviting gateway to the outdoors.

An exterior pathway connects the main house to the guest quarters where Laurent outfitted the walls with an impressive mural by Edge Collection. The oversized palm fronds blur the lines between indoor and outdoor and provide the perfect backdrop to a lazy afternoon.

Last but not least, every inch of the backyard was carefully designed for a good time. From large daybeds and canopies to sculptural cocktail set ups and comfortable game viewing seating, this resort style home might be too good to ever want to leave.
