I am excited to introduce The Mehta Project for Dwell's consideration, an apartment designed as a sanctuary for a professional family of three in Manhattan, NY. After purchasing an apartment in need of renovation, the clients wanted to have their dream home: a home of tranquility, elegance, simplicity and connection with each other and their friends. They wanted a space that would allow them to live better, simpler, deeper.

For this project, understanding different energies of various natural materials, we were able to carefully select stained oak, ash, leathered quartzite, linen, leather, wool, brass, artisan ceramic tile, marbles, warm tinted glass, that offered harmony and variety of textures and temperatures. The color palate is a beautiful balance of cool and warm colors that dance together. Clean lines and round edge details soften the space. Our favorite aspect: the curved wood ceiling trim completes the living room, beautifully extenuating the horizontality of the space.
