Wife and husband duo restores foreclosed distressed house in the Redwoods of Northern California to modern glory.
Tory and Andrew, homeowners, did all the work themselves over 3 years of weekends, including all new plumbing, electrical, foundation repair, reframing, insulation, HVAC, kitchen, bathrooms, floors and finishes. Contractors came in for new roof, solar, sewer, and doors.
The result is a sun-filled modern tree house with commanding views of a Redwood canyon just north of the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco.
All 3 bedrooms are framed by black minimalist aluminum glass doors and windows facing south over giant Redwood trees, a sanctuary of silence, warmth, and fresh air mere minutes from the foggy city.
Indoor/Outdoor living at its finest with large decks front and back, most of the house on a single level, with main bedroom and bathroom taking the top floor, and a gym/office/sauna combo downstairs.
