Piedra, which means "stone" in Spanish, design concept for this desert home revolved around internal courtyards and maximizing views. The strong parti allow clear circulation through an open floor plan while designating clear boundaries of public and private space. The long rectilinear forms stretch across the site to create a strong axis to major view points. Large cantilevers float in the sky and hover over the ground floor. The second floor spaces have floor to ceiling unobstructed views of the Las Vegas Valley.
