This vacation house designed by LEVEL80 architects is located on the bank of the river Dubrovkaja. This is a prime location in the Minsk area.

Functionally this house is divided into two wings. The Western wing is a public area and comprises kitchen, dining, living room, utility space and a covered terrace. Kitchen, utility room and wardrobe are built into the black cube made of black Fenix. Top of it serves as a mezzanine office. The Eastern wing is private, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Upon the entry we are greeted with a vertical window that gives a glimpse of the surroundings. But when we enter the common area this is where the beauty of the location is most apparent due to panoramic windows.

Material palette is discreet. Floors are heated polished concrete. Also kitchen worktops, sinks and some street lamps are made of concrete as well. Interior walls are covered either in birch plywood or white gypsum board. All light and sanitary fixtures are matte black.

Facade and roof of the house are covered with 40 x 60 aspen planks. Cladding is made of panels prepared offsite. The original design featured burnt wood finish, but at the time the shell with black waterproofing was built, architects decided to leave the wooden facade to gray out.

Additionally there is a sauna with a heated outdoor bath and garden storage on site. These units were fully made in the factory with matching design and delivered as volumetric units.

This is a flat pack prefab house. This system made it possible for a weather resistant shell to be finished in a week. Total building time was about seven months, which includes foundation works, landscaping and interior fit-out.
