Factor remodeled this charming Denver home to create a more spacious atmosphere. The vision behind this project was to maximize the natural light in the home and create a more open feeling. This meant raising the kitchen ceiling as much as possible and adding a white shiplap, to bring the space up and create a lighter feeling in there. Entertaining is important to this couple, so maximizing the space they had and creating a new layout for better function with cooking and hosting was also a priority! We added a powder bath on the main floor near the entryway to better use the space they had and also better accommodate guests, as the layout previously made way-finding awkward in the space. The big idea behind the design was to rework the existing space in a more functional way, and to provide a more open feeling with a new layout and intentional finish selections. Given that these clients had great style and the home is in such an amazing location, their finishes and selections leaned towards timeless, elegant, and with intentional pops of moodier colors/materials that gave the home an entirely new feeling that is highly functional for their lifestyle, and easy on the eyes.
