Modern Farmhouse

About the Home: Built in 1988 this home has 5 bedrooms/5 Bathrooms is 4,600 sq ft, built on an 8,652 sq ft Lot.

This is a traditional home built in 1988. It was important to me that I respect the original “bones of the house” because the home was newer in build. I played close attention to keeping the original doors, paneled wall, and decorative moldings that are not so common these days. Once my color pallet of Black and White with pops of Burnt orange were selected, my design of Modern Farmhouse became the theme of the home. We gutted all the flooring/ appliances/ fixtures/ bathrooms/ fireplaces/ lighting and removed walls to open the space between the family room and the kitchen. The bonus room had a huge wrap around bar, that we took out leaving the built-ins to create a theater space where multiple people could sit comfortably to watch a movie and such.
