Kitchen island, Living Room and Study from entry with panoramic views of Los Angeles beyond
Kitchen raised on a one-step plinth with gas cooktop on island with views of Los Angeles beyond. Bianco Cervaoile marble was selected for the island, countertops and backsplash for its striking veining and complimentary fit with the exposed concrete walls.

Interior alteration to modernize living spaces while increasing views of the city within an existing 1960's condominium in Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. We enlarged the kitchen by removing interior partition walls so the city views are immediately available once you enter the home. Also, the kitchen was raised one step above the living room so the homeowner could look across and over the sofa / balcony guardrail beyond while also enabling the placement of the gas cooktop in the kitchen island. The cook is able to socialize with guests at the large island with a backdrop of the Los Angeles grid beyond.
