From Casework Interior Design

After purchasing their home, originally custom built in 2003, our clients were surrounded by the traditional trappings of that decade: cherrywood cabinets, an abundance of burgundy and cream, heavy fixtures, and an overall dated Tuscan vibe. Having been a previous Casework client, they reached out to Casey to partner again on the redesign of their home.

Not only did the homeowners want a fresh, clean look, but the layout was not working for them. The challenge was to create zones for a visual separation of space that felt welcoming. Tying it all together in a sophisticated way to reflect the familyʼs taste and values.

In addition to the main remodel and furnishings, Casework sourced accessories and art to provide the final finishing layer of the project. We had the opportunity to work with artist Maja Dlugolecki to create a bespoke art piece for the dining room. Another favorite accessory included a vintage rug for the entry - we love one-of-a-kind rug.

The scale of the house felt grand, with generous-sized rooms, all open to each other, and high ceilings. The designers at Casework wanted to ensure that a neutral palette of furniture and accessories didnʼt fade into the background, so they played with proportions and texture.
