A handcrafted wood and glass retreat is on the market after 30 years during which a retired aerospace executive added his glass topped studio with Murphy bed and steam shower and a light filled bunkhouse with fireplace for his grandchildren.

The original owner built the home for his professional cellist wife so she could play surrounded by windows that brought in the forest pines. Every corner was designed and constructed with care. Each of the three bedrooms has an en-suite bath and door to the outside.

The generous lot has three outdoor areas for entertaining, in the back, “Overlook”, a patio overlooking the canyon for evening drinks around a fire-pit, and “Lighthouse Landing”, a patio for dining with a large fireplace. In the front you have “The Grove”, a seating area under the sycamores where you can have neighbors join you for happy hour.

The current owners bought the lot next door and added a clerestory window topped studio which was both an office and guest house. The latest addition was a glass fronted “bunkhouse” for the grandchildren, all of which allow comfortable hosting for the extended families.

Turkeys nestle in the trees each night and deer, pheasants and other animal friends wander through frequently.

This home has been thoughtfully maintained and constantly upgraded with solar panels, automated landscape lighting and a new standing seam metal roof.

This is a joyful place that the current owner is leaving only after the loss of her beloved husband, the soul of the property. It is waiting to welcome a new family that will create the next generation of memories.
