House for Guests is located in the north access to the city of Chonchi in Chiloe Island, Chile. The project looks to combine a traditional dwelling with an alternative income for the owner who wanted to rent it as a lodge. Therefore the project capitalizes itself with the tourist promotion and development that this region is becoming known for. A new typology of dwelling both home and lodge.

The site where the project is situated is relatively flat with distant views to the interior sea of Chiloe and the Andes mountain range.

Therefore the views of the house are all focused in that direction. The other three facades are proposed as a semi-exterior corridor that unifies the private home with the more public sector or lodge, this corridor is protected by a timber lattice that mediates between inside and outside.

As a general strategy, the project is one volume suspended three meters above the ground, with a third of the volume being the private dwelling and the other two-thirds are the lodge area.
