From Julebourg
A forgotten artist's studio transformed into a 38m2 Parisian pied à terre.
Christine was looking for a home base for her son and herself. It’s at the end of a luminous courtyard that she fell head over heel for this little workshop space.
When we first visited the place, it was solely lit up by a single light bulb hanging from the ceiling. The space was cramped and used as a bookbinding workshop by it’s previous owner.
The volumes immediately emerged and took form immediately in my mind, the potential was enormous!
All partitions walls had to be teared down in order to rethink the space as fully open, the goal was to create defined living spaces to be able to work, rest and isolate.
Every single detail had been thought out to facilitate free flowing traffic so that no obstacles would disturb the lay out perspective in order to optimize the feeling of floor space.
