This contemporary prefab timber frame home sits high above the western banks of the Flathead River, which acts as the boundary on the western edge of Glacier National Park a full hour’s drive (by dirt road) off the power grid. The home is built for efficiency as it runs on a combination of hydro-electric and solar power thus creating the rare “perfect-storm” for us here at Timberbuilt — epic location, off-grid, ultra-efficient, and views for days…

The primary bedroom, great room, and dining room all share breathtaking views of Montana’s Livingston Range. Outdoor living space was essential. Just off the dining room is a covered patio with a stone exterior fireplace and Doug Fir trusses holding the roof overhead. The second-floor bedroom suite includes a private porch as well.
