The row house façade takes a playful tone, with a mix of exterior cladding materials and horizontal red projections dividing up the three stories and making the narrow parcel stand out.

In reference to the context, the fenestration of the window openings complements others typical of this neighborhood, while a large picture window in the front room and double glass doors to the first floor terrace channel ample light into the structure.

Located in Pittsburgh's urban Lawrenceville neighborhood, The Charlotte Street residence is a former row house, which was transformed into a contemporary single-family home that maximizes light, air, and functional space on a mere 14 foot wide lot.
