This project holds a special place in the portfolio of architectural designer Anastasia Kuznetsova due to its unique concept. After the customer got married and moved to Cyprus, she turned to Anastasia with a request to help with the arrangement of her new home.

This two-story, 170 sqm home is surrounded by a lush garden featuring citrus trees and an inviting outdoor swimming pool. The main wish of the spouses of the owners was a modern and dynamic interior, which would be organically combined with the natural beauty of the island and their youth lifestyle. The design process went smoothly because the architectural designer was given complete creative freedom. The construction work was carried out by a reliable team of professionals, carefully selected by Anastasia.

The house itself, while typical for the region, featured small windows near the ceiling and high window sills. Once the collages were approved by the clients, the architectural designer began to redevelop. The dwelling needed to accommodate a master bedroom, three guest rooms for the parents, sisters, and grandmother, a living area, kitchen, and dining room. Additionally, it required two bathrooms, two dressing rooms, and a small home office. Exterior modifications, including changes to the barbecue area and the pool surroundings, were also part of the project.

The existing architectural design left much to be desired, necessitating layout alterations wherever possible. As architectural designer, it was crucial for Anastasia to ensure that the rooms were thoughtfully laid out, taking into account the main axes, symmetry, and fundamental proportions, as the interior's ambiance significantly impacts the homeowners' experience. "I wanted to create an environment that resonates with my clients' taste and needs", the author of project recalls.

The architectural designer began by expanding the window openings and introducing symmetry throughout. On the first floor, she added a built-in wardrobe where previously only coat hooks had hung. In the living room, a fireplace replaced the elongated window under the ceiling, now flanked by side windows, creating a vertical focal point in the room. Since the house lacked heating, the fireplace served as a crucial heat source during the winter months. Upstairs, the architectural designer transformed the terrace into a master bedroom and converted the oversized bathroom into a guest room. The second guest bedroom, adjoining the master bedroom, was subdivided into a bathroom and a dressing room. "The layout changes were made to optimize the space and cater to my clients' preferences", Anastasia Kuznetsova explains.

Most of the furniture was made to order in the carpentry workshop according to the sketches of the author of the project. Bespoke items included the master bedroom's bed, the turquoise bed in the parents' bedroom, and all built-in storage units. "Creating custom furniture allowed us to tailor each piece to fit perfectly within the space", the architectural designer notes. A lace headboard for the grandmother's bedroom arrived from Australia, although an amusing mishap led to the unexpected acquisition of a dresser, which, due to shipping costs, ended up becoming an integral part of the interior. The headboard eventually arrived safely a month later. Upholstered furniture was sourced from archiproducts.com, while the kitchen, dining table, and bed for the sister's bedroom were acquired from the local Home&Deco showroom, which features furniture from Italian manufacturers. In creating a harmonious home, every element, from ergonomics to details, needed to strike the right balance.

When creating the space, the author of the project employed her signature techniques, which included using a vibrant color palette, geometric shapes and lines, and meticulous attention to scale. Paintings by contemporary artists seamlessly complemented the house, adding bursts of color. "I wanted to create a modern and bright space, full of life and energy", Anastasia emphasizes. The end result was a stylish and comfortable living space that truly reflected the personality of its owners.
