A Colorful Vacation Home

This 3100 square foot home in Loblolly, Hobe Sound is the client’s second home.
The home was completely gutted and renovated which included new floors, moldings, ceilings, wall treatments,
new furniture and all new bathrooms. In addition they had second story windows placed above the existing windows to enhance the abundance of natural light in the living area.

The client wanted their 4 bedroom, 4 bath home to be a fun space for their family and friends to gather. But, they also wanted this livable home to have a sophisticated aesthetic. And from their many worldly travels they had collected wonderful artwork which we used as a starting point.

Our design challenge was to provide a great room concept with an intimate kitchen area. The kitchen needed to be warm and inviting while being able to accommodate up to 12 people at any one time.

The client and Jackie’s team both love color and both agreed the home should accommodate indoor-outdoor living spaces.
Both the husband and wife are avid golfers and both love to travel as well as have outdoor fun.
