Richard Sapper Espresso Coffee Maker

RICHARD SAPPER ESPRESSO COFFEE MAKER $240.00

The six-cup espresso coffee maker that started it all, Alessi's 9090 was the first object for the home in the company’s history, as well as its first product to be inducted into the Permanent Design Collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art. It was also the Italian brand’s first "amphibious object": a tool for the kitchen so beautifully designed that it is equally welcome at the table.

HARIO DRIP KETTLE

HARIO DRIP KETTLE $70.00

With the Hario Drip Kettle, it’s easy to take the simple task of brewing morning coffee from stale to sophisticated. Used as a pour over brewer, the stainless steel kettle has an ergonomic design and features a long, slender spout that’s ideal for steady, continued pouring over coffee grounds. Pouring in this way ensures an even saturation of grounds, as well as sustained extraction. Aside from the flavorful cups of coffee the kettle yields, it’s also stunning to look at with its subtle, undulating curves and delicate spout. It’s a kettle that deserves to be displayed after use. The Hario Drip Kettle works excellently when paired with a manual coffee maker, like the Hario Drip Pot.

HARIO COFFEE DRIP POT

HARIO COFFEE DRIP POT $60.00

The Hario Drip Pot is a manual coffee maker, made for brewing coffee in small servings. Using a reusable cloth filter, the Drip Pot is an ideal vessel when paired with a pour over kettle like the Hario Drip Kettle. The filter rests easily within the top of the pot, which has a narrow, tulip shape to aid in the brewing process. The base of the pot is more bulbous, which enables the coffee to expand and grow its flavor once it works its way through the filter. After the coffee has brewed and the filter is removed—an easy task with the filter’s wood handle— coffee can be poured directly from the pot. The wood collar on the drip pot stays cool to the touch, ensuring painless pours, every time.

FALCON ENAMALWARE MUG $12.50

Falcon’s iconic enamelware has been a staple brand for British home items since it’s opening nearly one hundred years ago. Enamelware is porcelain fused onto heavy-gauge steel, which makes it durable, smooth, and resistant to the effects of chemicals. Safe in temperatures of up to 530 degree fahrenheit, Falcon’s enamelware does not burn, and is resilient enough to be used in the dishwasher. This classic Falcon mug is safe for even your hottest cups of coffee and cocoa. Although it is extremely durable, the mug is not bulky. The expertly crafted enamelware is thin, and the simple handle appears delicate, while remaining stable and strong.

TEEMA MUG

TEEMA MUG $26.00

Adaptable to any style or use, the Teema Tableware collection designed by Kaj Franck for Iittala is based on the fundamental shapes of circle, square, triangle, and rectangle. These timeless and sophisticated pieces provide an essential form to allow the food, family, friends, and conversation to shine.

HASAMI PORCELAIN MUG

HASAMI PORCELAIN MUG $16.00-$20.00

Hasami Porcelain is characterized by simple, clean lines and an aesthetic that is both highly modern and deeply seeded in Japanese pottery tradition. The company creates products on a fixed module, meaning that diameters are shared across the line, making them easy to be stacked and transported. The result of the stacking and interchangeability of the products is not only highly functional, but is also aesthetically pleasing— the even stacks provide a sense of calm and serenity to a cupboard of counter space. Crafted from Hasami’s custom blend of porcelain and clay, this mug is softer to the touch than traditional porcelain, ensuring a positive tactile experience when delivering a mug of coffee, or enjoying a cup of tea. With a lovely matte finish, this mug is beautiful enough to serve to a distinguished guest, and simple enough to use every day.
