I've had my eye on the handsome little notebooks from Field Notes--a collaboration between Portland, Oregon's Draplin Design Company and Chicago's Coudal Partners--for some time now. Call them the American antidote to the sophisticated Euro vibe Moleskine goes for (if Picasso was a Moleskine man, you can easliy imagine Jeff Tweedy as a Field Notes fellow), and dig a design ethos that looks back to agricultural memo books.
