In the unlikely event you really haven't got enough Eames in your life, the Chicago auction house Wright is opening bidding tomorrow, April 8th, on a pretty large selection of Charles and Ray's work. Those hell-bent on having the real deal goods over reproductions will be interested, though considering how few left-field Eames nuggets and oddball designs are included here, the lots feel rather like a walk through some So You Wanna Know About Modern Design primer. If you're merely curious to see more of the couple's work, check out this online archive of John and Marilyn Neuhart; that's what's going on sale. All told it's certainly a nice look at all that mid-century modernism has to offer, just don't expect to be blown away by many undersung Eames arcana. The auction starts at 10 AM.
