Editor Aaron Britt: I'm a firm believer that good design should extend beyond merely one's living space to, if possible, one's very self. And so I set about curating a collection of the design-savvy gent's personal accoutrements. From toiletries to apparel, the well-turned-out chap, or anyone shopping for him, need look no further than this guide to the modern gentleman's gear.

It can be tough to find the right place in the home for traditional litter boxes, which can be a little big, a bit untidy (no matter how fastidious your feline), and, well, just not too nice to look at. ModKat made its debut at ICFF this year and the thoughtful design makes a huge difference; The cat enters through the top, which opens up floor space and allows any stray kernals to fall back in as the kitty climbs out, and reusable liners eliminate the need for disosables. This neat new litter box will start shipping in mid-September.

Form following function need not be formulaic. When HouseArt recently acquired Mark Naden's No. 10 from Pure Design, we rejoiced not only in its reissue, but also in the new color options like chartreuse, bougainvillea pink, and Miami mango.
