Surprise Ball

Well, this is nice. Red isn't really a part of our current domestic color scheme, but somehow this bright bookshelf seems like it would work in spite—or because—of its bold hue. The powder-coated steel frame could stand up against oversized hardbacks, magazine backissues, record collections, or any number of combinations of knicks, knacks, bits and bobs, and for those without the floor space it can also be wall-mounted.

Citra sipper! It's like those old Tropicana ads where that red-and-white straw poked out of the orange... except, you know, real. Stick this little plastic piece right through the rind, give 'er a squeeze, and start drinking the freshest OJ in town. Yum.

Wall shelves are wonderful for storage and display, giving books, pictures, and knick knacks a good-looking home that doesn't take up valuable real estate on the floor. Design House Stockholm introduced some great pieces at last month's New York International Gift Fair, including this new table from designer Philip Edis. The planes can rotate around, allowing you to display different heights of books and trinkets or take up more or less space on the floor.
